With Anna Young-Ferris
Have you always been curious about meditation? Maybe you’ve dabbled in it but ended up frustrated and confused?
This 90 min Meditation Masterclass is a wonderful way to learn about this vital practice. You will be guided by Anna, a mother with a full-time career, and a small business, who understands all the challenges we can come up against because she too experiences these challenges, especially with little people and homeschooling in the mix!
The theme of this masterclass is finding equanimity, a quality so necessary in these uncertain times that meditation can help cultivate. Equanimity is the quality of remaining stable and clear, with a sense of calm and ease, when faced with both pleasant and unpleasant experiences. It is a quality of gentle evenness and effortlessness and a knowing that whether viewed as good or bad, it will all pass. Kind of perfect for right now as lockdown 3.0 sets into fuller force for those of us in Sydney.
This masterclass is perfect for anyone interested in meditation including mamas, beginners, those wanting to cultivate a more regular practice, and even the more advanced seeker. Also the perfect refresher for anyone wanting to re-inspire their practice. You can never sit one of these classes too many times, as there are always new insights on offer.
Anna first learnt to meditate at the age of 18 during her university studies and so commenced a lifelong spiritual enquiry. In 2003 she began a regular practice of Buddhist meditation but it was in 2012 that Anna discovered the simple and effortless technique of Vedic meditation and her practice and direct experiences of pure consciousness literally soared. She studies with Thom Knoles, Jeff Kober and Gary Gorrow and has undergone rigorous training with Jacqui Lewis of The Broad Place to become a recognised Vedic meditation initiator/teacher. In this way Anna, will share the gift of mindfulness and compassion, assisting one to transcend the chatter of the mind and cultivate more gratitude, lovingkindness and calm for themselves and others.
