THE HUMBLE HALFWAY LIFT

It is a 'bridging' pose that prepares us for entry into and exit out of Tadasana. When executed correctly the humble Halfway Lift provides an opportunity to strengthen our Lumbar Spine and elongate the hamstrings.

DESCRIPTION: Sun Salutation A (Surya Namaskar A) is utilised in a Vinyasa Flow sequence to prepare the body, align the mind and create a rhythm for the rest of the practice. Sometimes this rhythm is obscured when we are not clear on the breath and how to partner the breath with our movement. This tutorial explains what breath goes with what action to create seamless and therefore enjoyable flow.
